There is exactly a month before my 30th birthday. Which means only one month left in my 20s, WILD. Some of my goals this year have been a bit more personal, but are still worth mentioning, albeit briefly.
21. Pay off medical and cc debt
22. Quit something that wasn't serving me
23. VOTE
24. Pick up a new hobby
25. Participate in self-help/improvement classes and workshops
The financial freedom that was gained when goals 21 and 22 were met was so rewarding. Debt accumulation can feel like drowning in quicksand sometimes and I am so grateful that I was able to pay off two long standing credit and medical debts respectively.
When the debts were paid I was relieved of feelings of regret, failure, shame, and self-pity and was gifted with feelings of pride, gratitude, relief, and increased self-esteem.
#23 I was gratefully able to vote via absentee ballot, for the second time. We are all still anxiously awaiting the results as I write this and I am doing my best not to obsessively watch the vote counters and speculative commentary on TV.
#24 I love a good craft and lately all I've really been doing is knitting. So when visiting a friend, we bought some cheap needlepointing kits on a whim and it's safe to say that I am already hooked.
#25 has been so fun and convenient thanks to COVID! So far I have taken courses in meditation, leadership, non fiction book writing/producing, blogging, cartoon drawing, staff management, and cultural sensitivity in the summer camp setting. The options are truly limitless!
